Valentine Randomness

Here are a few random tidbits for your Valentine's Day ...

Valentine's Day is the one day of the year I've always struggled with working in an office full of females. Being surrounded by women receiving flowers and chocolates from their significant others all day when you're a single girl is, well, let's just be honest, it's hard. I'm guest posting today on the sweet and lovely Brittany's blog talking about insecurities and relationship status. While I may not be single this Valentine's Day (for those of you keeping up, I got back together with my fiance and we're learning how to make our differences work together), I still struggle with those negative thoughts and feelings that are no fun. I just happened to meet Brittany at the same time I met writer and speaker Emily Freeman. I so want to be her friend, and I would love to write like her. :) She inspires me with everything she writes and her blog post yesterday made me want to drop everything else I was doing and write about Jesus and make things ... pretty things.

What did you do last night? I made peanut-butter pretzel trufflles for a baking contest we're having at work today. It's doubtful I'll win, but they did turn out cute.
